Sculpture Show 2018

Call to Artists

Showcase and sell your work in a

world renowned Garden!

The 24th annual Sculpture in the Garden is now accepting submissions for the 2018 exhibit and sale. Sculpture in the Garden is an annual show of outdoor sculptures at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, CA. The show is run as a fundraiser for the preservation of the Garden and in support of the research and education done at the Garden. Please share this invitation with others who might be interested! We look forward to seeing your work in this year’s show.

There are two ways to enter: Our “Art Walk” showcases smaller more affordable pieces ($500 and under) that attendees can take home right away. If possible, plan to restock your smaller artwork, and keep selling during the entire show.

“Garden Sculptures” are larger more expensive pieces that are displayed in the garden and stay there for the duration of the show. Garden sculptures sell best in the under $5,000 price range. But we do sell in the over $5,000 range as well.

Sculptors can enter both categories, or just one. Instructions on how to enter are on the application form.

Last year, $67,000 in sculptures were sold. More than 4,000 people visited the Garden during the two months of the show.

There is no submission fee. Our commission is 40 percent of the selling price. Sculptures in all media appropriate for outdoor gardens will be considered. Both Art Walk and Garden sculptures will be juried in. A separate team of judges will award the prizes. The 2018 judging team will be announced in April.
