Zacate reflects the movement seen in natural feather grasses, yet has an industrial vibe. Created in Raw steel, the rods and base will weather and rust – changing over time to take on a natural patina.
Zacate is Spanish for grass, but is more commonly used to describe tall individual grasses as opposed to a grass lawn. As climate change continues to force changes in the way we view our landscape, I have been exploring alternatives that would abide by the proposed statute to limit foliage completely within five feet of any home in a fire-prone area.
We do not ship artwork. All purchased work must remain in the show for it’s duration (until August 10th). Artwork will be available for pickup the following week and must be coordinated with the artist.
