“The Folly” is an original plein air painting. The Folly is an iconic building in the Ruth Bancroft Garden. Its center is a tall arching structure that catches your eye. The pond peaks out at the bottom of the painting, and the beautiful plants that surround the pond add color and drama. There is a chair and table in the mid-ground that offer the viewer a place to rest. “This structure is really beautiful, and it caught my eye as I was sitting on a bench behind the pond.” – Teresa
