“Oak & Agaves” is an original plein air painting. This painting began as a demo for my workshop class. I fell in love with the giant oak tree and its cascading leaves in the background and the way the agaves are nestled in front with there globe form. The bright blues in the agaves pop and add a fun color that draws the viewer in. The warm light of the afternoon sun lights up the middle ground and the sky peeks through the oak tree in the back.
