Weddings

Celebrate your love in our world-renowned garden! The Ruth Bancroft Garden features 3.5 acres of succulents and drought-tolerant plants that make for stunning photos and a one-of-a-kind setting for your special day.  Wedding receptions can be setup either outdoors or indoors in our new Visitor and Education Center.  Voted “Best Wedding Venue in the East Bay” by Diablo Magazine editors and readers, June 2021  Take a look at past weddings and special events.

Parties & Socials

Planning for a special occasion?  The Garden offers both outdoor and indoor spaces that are perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, baby showers and more.  Your guests will appreciate the opportunity to celebrate among the Garden’s stunning collection of mature trees, cacti and succulents from around the world.   The Great Room in our new Visitor and Education Center accommodates 80-100 seated guests and can be arranged in a variety of ways to suit your needs.

Corporate Meetings

The Garden makes an excellent location for off-site business meetings, trainings, retreats or corporate social events.  You can get down to business in one of two indoor meeting rooms and then relax and socialize outside while exploring the Garden or enjoying a cocktail by the fire on our outdoor patio.  Depending upon your desired seating and table configurations, our Loft Room can accommodate 20-40 participants while our Great Room accommodates 80-100 seated guests.  If your event is well suited for simultaneous indoor and outdoor seating we can accommodate up to 130.

Photo sessions must take place after Garden hours and need to be made at least two weeks in advance. No walk-up requests will be granted. Requests made less than 2 weeks in advance are subject to a $50 rush fee.

Fees for amateur and professional photographers wishing to use the Ruth Bancroft Garden as a location for family, special occasion, wedding or other portrait sessions:

 

  • 1 Hour: Members: $125/Non-member $165
  • 2 Hour: Member: $250/Non- Member $330
