2021 Local Water-wise Garden Tour
As of 9 April 2021- The 2021 Water-wise Garden Tour is SOLD OUT. Please go here to be put on the waitlist. You will be contacted when a spot opens up.
The Ruth Bancroft Garden and the Contra Costa Water District have partnered to offer you the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of nine area gardens that showcase the beauty and diversity that water-wise gardens can offer homeowners. A water-wise landscape doesn’t just mean “cactus” if that’s not your style. There are many other options for drought tolerant plants that will make your garden beautiful while simultaneously helping conserve water and offering natural food sources for butterflies, bees and other local pollinators. This self-guided tour will let you see lawn-to-garden conversion projects up close and talk to the homeowners about the process, their plant choices, and overall experiences.
Participation is FREE but space is limited. Registration is required.
