Cactus Rock Garden

How about making a rock garden that you can take home with you? It also makes a perfect gift! Your rocks will really shine when you will use special color-shifting paint to give your art that extra pop. Markers, felted material and other decorations will be on hand to beautify your rocks and make the perfect everlasting garden. The workshop will be led by Miss Marie, our Children’s Education Manager at the Ruth Bancroft Garden. Marie will show you different ways to paint your rock cacti and how you can draw spines on them to make them come to life!

Workshop Wednesdays at the Ruth Bancroft Garden give your children the chance to connect with nature through interactive and guided craft activities on the Plaza. Beat the summer heat with a 9am to 9:45am session and let your young ones engage in a fun and meaningful way! Younger visitors may need some assistance with this craft. This is not a drop-off activity – adults must stay for the duration.
