Mimosa pudica, or “tickle plant” as it is also called, folds its leaves when you touch them. It’s a fun and easy plant to grow from seed. Miss Marie will show you how to sow the seeds and then you can decorate the pot.

Workshop Wednesdays feature fun and creative projects for children. They will have the opportunity to work with different art media as well as plant materials. The workshops take place on the Plaza (no Garden admission needed). 2-5 year-olds will need some help from their parents but older children will be able to complete the piece without help. All supplies are included in the price. RBG staff and volunteers will be on hand to guide the children through the workshop. No drop-offs at this time. Price will vary depending on the project.
