Join Gianne de Genevraye for this pastel workshop, designed for beginners and experienced artists, and learn the basics of how to capture the natural beauty of the Garden with this unique medium.  This class is designed to help you develop your artistic skills in a supportive environment and instruction will include practical exercises to understand pastel technique using light direction, shadow and negative space.  We will complete a finished drawing of a simple plant composition from the Garden that will be part of a later group exhibition.

Participants are required to bring their own small set of dry pastels and at least three sheets of pastel paper.

The workshop will be on 18 October 2023 (Wed.) from 9:30am-12pm.  Students will be encouraged to participate in the exhibit and reception to showcase their work on 19 October 2023 (Thurs.) from 3-4pm.
