(Workshop) Garden Explorer- Family Program

Saturday, February 17 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

$5.00 – $15.00

Join us for a Family Program where we’ll explore the intersection of art, nature, and culture at the Garden!

Participants ages 7-107 are invited to join us for a hands-on exploration of the Agave collection.

Bring your family to learn about: What is an Agave? Why are they sometimes called century plants? Who pollinates them? What parts are edible? How have they been used by people over thousands of years? How do they survive with little to no water?

After a guided walk, families will have an opportunity to explore the Curator’s special photo exhibit (Agave as Art) and engage in a family-friendly craft project inspired by the photography. The Family Program encourages caregivers and children to work and learn from each other as they explore and create.

One caregiver is required to accompany each child. If there are siblings, one caregiver can attend with two children. Cost includes admission to the Garden. Refund policy can be found here.
