Join Troy McGregor, owner of Gondwana Flora and Waltzing Matilija, for two lectures about plants in the Proteaceae family (such as Protea, Leucadendron, Leucospermum and Grevillea). For the first lecture “Proteaceae & Pals- Overview” (on 18 June 2022), Troy will focus on the tried and true performers, a few new releases and some rarities that have excelled at the Ruth Bancroft Garden.
For the second lecture, “Proteaceae & Pals- Care & Maintenance,” Troy will guide you on best planting practices, pruning recommendations, fertilizer amendments and soil/water requirements for these Australian and South African plants.
Registration fees will automatically enroll you in two lectures:
- “Proteaceae & Pals- Overview (part 1/2)”- 18 June 2022 (Sat) @ 10am
- “Proteaceae & Pals- Care & Maintenance (part 2/2)”- 25 June 2022 (Sat) @ 10am
Please note that this will be a live, webinar workshop (offered via Zoom) and not a lecture at the Garden. After registration (see below), you will receive instructions and a Zoom link from the Program Director one day prior to the lecture. Registration will close on 18 June 2022 at 8am. This class is part of the Dry Garden Design Certificate Program series.
How it works: Register one person with one email at a time. If you would like to register multiple people, please register them each separately with separate emails. The webinar will be recorded and all registrants will receive a recording link via email within one business day. Once the recording is sent, you will have seven days to watch. After that time, the recording will expire. Access to the two webinar recordings after the expiration date will be a charge of $30 (members)/$50 (non-members).
