The Ruth Bancroft Garden contains thousands of plants, large and small, and some of these are prominent enough that they help to define the garden’s look. These are the plants people think of when the garden is mentioned, and that stand out in photos of the garden. In this presentation, we will be taking a look at these iconic plants, going through them according to the plant groups they belong to – the agaves, the palms, the euphorbias, etc., with the shrubs and trees grouped at the end. The photos shown have been taken by Brian Kemble, long-time Curator (who just celebrated his 40th year at the garden), over the course of several decades.
