(Webinar) Color Theory for Designers and Gardeners
Friday, March 18, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
$12.00 – $22.00Event Navigation
Join Kew-trained gardener, photographer, and author of Cultivated: The Elements of Floral Style, Christin Geall, for an entertaining talk on color theory. The nineteenth century changed how we see color in flowers, gardens, and art. This lecture will explore the ideas of the painters, chemists, gardeners, and floral designers of the age Impressionism and beyond, in order to lend shape to a discussion of color theory. Learn how to use tints, tones and shades for pleasing designs; what colors to place where; and how colors interact with one another in the garden or the vase.
To learn more about Christin visit her website or find her on Instagram.
Please note that this will be a live, webinar workshop (offered via Zoom) and not a lecture at the Garden. After registration (see below), you will receive instructions and a Zoom link from the Program Director one day prior to the lecture. Registration will close on 18 March 2022 at 8am.
How it works: Register one person with one email at a time. If you would like to register multiple people, please register them each separately with separate emails. The webinar will be recorded and all registrants will receive a recording link via email within one business day. Once the recording is sent, you will have seven days to watch. After that time, the recording will expire. Access to the webinar recordings after the expiration date will be a charge of $12 (members)/$22 (non-members).
