(Video & Webinar) Soil Basics in Dry Gardens
Friday, September 30, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
$20.00 – $30.00Event Navigation

Please note that there will be two components for this workshop: a (private) pre-recorded lecture and a live Q&A webinar (offered via Zoom) and not a lecture at the garden. After registration (see below), you will receive further instructions from the Program Director within 48 hours of registering. Registration will close on 30 Sept 2022 at 8am. You will be expected to view the pre-recorded lecture in order to participate in the live Q&A on 30 Sept 2022 at 11am. This class is part of the Dry Garden Design Certificate program series.
Soil is the foundation of healthy plants. Join Walker Young, Assistant Curator, for a lecture (recorded August 2022) to learn about the content of soil, our recommendations for the perfect ratio of materials, and the care that your soil needs in order to keep your plants healthy and happy. The second portion (a live, webinar session on 30 Sept 2022 at 11am) will be open to participants for Q & A as well as Walker’s opportunity to talk a little bit about the large-scale, renovation bed project under the shade structure (bed 6) which involved a significant amount of soil preparation.
48 hours after registration, you will receive an email from the Program Director: a link to the private lecture video (1.5 hours, to be viewed on demand as many times as you want) and a Zoom link for the live webinar portion (30 minutes).
