(Video & Webinar) Pruning Trees

Wednesday, August 26, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 11:30 am

$20.00 – $25.00

Please note that there are two components for this workshop: a (private) pre-recorded lecture (to be viewed before 26 August 2020) and a live, webinar session (offered via Zoom) and not a lecture at the garden. After registration (see below), you will receive further instructions from the Program Coordinator prior to the workshop date. Registration will close on 25 August 2020 at 8pm.

Learn proper pruning techniques in an informative virtual session with Walker Young, Assistant Curator, as he demonstrates and lectures in the Garden.  For the first portion (in a pre-recorded video) Walker will go over the horticultural and scientific basis of how to prune woody plants while emphasizing the aesthetic techniques that will enhance the finished specimen in your own garden.  Proper pruning is a critical and important garden skill that can highlight the beauty of the plant’s form as well as encourage strong structural growth.

The second portion will be a live Zoom session with Walker on 26 August 2020 at 11am for an opportunity for participants to ask pruning-related questions.

After registration, you will receive an email from the Program Coordinator: a link to the private lecture video (90 minutes) and a Zoom link for the live webinar portion (30 minutes).
