(Offsite) 2025 Waterwise Garden Tour
Saturday, April 26 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
$25.00Event Navigation

The Ruth Bancroft Garden, Contra Costa Water District, and East Bay Municipal Utility District have partnered to offer a self-guided tour of 17 home gardens in Walnut Creek and Concord! The tour will showcase the beauty and diversity of waterwise gardens in our communities.
During the tour, you provide your transportation and explore the gardens at your own pace from 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm. Out of respect for the homeowners, we ask that you do not visit the gardens between 12 pm and 1 pm. Lunch is not provided. The tour will happen rain or shine.
To ensure an efficient flow of visitors to each home, there will be four circuits you can choose from to view these extraordinary waterwise gardens. Circuits A, B, and C will feature the same 16 gardens — however, each circuit views those gardens in a different order. For example, if you choose to start your tour using Circuit A, you will begin at an address in southeast Concord; Circuit B begins north of Ygnacio Valley Blvd.; and Circuit C begins south of Ygnacio Valley Blvd. The fourth circuit is a bicycle route that includes 11 gardens to view with a choose-your-own start location.
- Circuit A: Southeast Concord, primarily south of Ygnacio Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek, primarily north of Ygnacio Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek
- Circuit B: Primarily North of Ygnacio Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek, southeast Concord, primarily south of Ygnacio Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek
- Circuit C: Primarily South of Ygnacio Valley Blvd., Walnut Creek, primarily north of Ygnacio Valley Blvd., southeast Concord
- Circuit D: Bicycle route that includes 11 Walnut Creek homes with a suggested bike route
- All cyclists stopping at the Ruth Bancroft Garden can enter a drawing at the kiosk to win a $50 gift certificate to our nursery!
On April 24, registrants will receive an email with addresses, a map, garden information, and Ruth Bancroft Garden Admission for April 26.
Each ticket includes admission to The Ruth Bancroft Garden on April 26 and is valid for one individual. Proceeds support the mission of the Ruth Bancroft Garden.
Tickets for this event are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Prior to the tour, join us and register for a online Zoom lecture on Getting Started with Waterwise Gardening, Thursday, April 10, at 5 p.m. This is a free webinar, but registration is required.
