Join RBG curator’s Brian and Walker on this exclusive garden tour. Some gardens are impressive on a grand scale, with promenades and vistas that could never be achieved by someone without a large estate to work with. But other gardens are impressive in an entirely different way, amazing the visitor with the intricacy of their plantings and the complexity of their design in a small space. This garden tour will focus on four such “Lilliputian” gardens in the East Bay, gardens with a lot of stories to tell on a miniature scale. RBG curators Brian Kemble and Walker Young will be on hand to shed some light on all the botanical marvels to be seen – where do they come from, what plant families do they belong to, what special adaptations do they have? Join us for a day of inspiration and an after-tour wine and cheese reception!
