Join Garden Horticulturalists, Michael Rada and Szymon Szary, as they recount their backpacking trip traversing the “Lowest 2 Highest” route. Trekking through Mojave Desert valleys, mountains and the Sierra Nevada, they embarked on an epic expedition to document and see native plants in habitat. They will share stunning landscape and close-up plant photographs from the trip and talk about the stark contrasts that they witnessed during their 150-mile journey.

The talk will then be followed by a short guided walk in the Garden to view plants encountered along the backpacking route.
