SEPTEMBER THEME: PLANT PALS

Do you have a child 18-36 months old? Are you looking for children’s activities in the East Bay area? Garden Buds is a program where your child will meet the same friends each week and practice social skills in an outdoor setting while developing an interest in nature with hands-on activities. The classes will use sustainable and natural materials for the craft activities. The program will provide early education in basic plant knowledge, hands-on plant-based activities and seasonal experiences exclusive to the Ruth Bancroft Garden.

September’s class series will focus on the basics like plant parts and plant needs. We will also talk about Ruth, the Garden’s founder, since it is her birthday on September 2. The children will listen to a book, go on a Garden walk and make a craft each week.

The price is per child per event series- the September Series has 4 classes. The non-member price includes admission to the Garden for 1 caregiver on class dates.

One caregiver can accompany per child. If siblings, one caregiver can attend with two children.
