It is an opportunity to practice social skills in an outdoor setting while developing an interest in nature with hands-on activities. The classes will only use sustainable and natural materials for all craft activities. The program will provide early education in basic plant knowledge, hands-on plant based activities and seasonal experiences exclusive to the Ruth Bancroft Garden.
In May, our Garden Buds will be learning about the cacti in the Garden and desert micro-climates.The Ruth Bancroft Garden is famous for its cacti collection. In May the Garden Buds will be looking at these fascinating plants. Garden Buds will explore and work with natural found plant materials. Sessions will include garden walks, songs, book reading, crafts and more!
The price is per child per event series – the May series has 4 classes:
