Do you have a child 18-36 months old? Are you looking for children’s activities in the East Bay area? Garden Buds is a 4-week long program where your child will meet the same friends each week. It is an opportunity to practice social skills in an outdoor setting while developing an interest in nature with hands-on activities. The classes will only use sustainable and natural materials for all craft activities. The program will provide early education in basic plant knowledge, hands-on plant based activities and seasonal experiences exclusive to the Ruth Bancroft Garden.
In March, our Garden Buds will be learning about the life-cycle of plants. It’s Spring at the Ruth Bancroft Garden! Plants are growing and blooming. The perfect time to learn about the plant cycle. Garden Buds will explore and work with natural found plant materials. Sessions will include songs, a book reading, crafts and more!
The price is per child per event series – the March series has 4 classes:
March 6th | 10AM – All About Seeds
The Garden Buds will get acquainted and start to explore seeds.
March 13th | 10AM – Worms!
Miss Marie will bring in her worm bin for some show and tell.
March 20th | 10AM – World Water Day
Water will be the day’s subject since March 22 is World Water Day.
March 27th | What’s in Bloom
Flowers in all colors are in bloom. The Buds will go on a color scavenger hunt!
One caregiver can accompany per child. If siblings, one caregiver can attend with two children. The price is per child. The non-member price includes admission to the Garden for 1 caregiver on class dates.
