Join us for a very special concert courtesy of Friction Quartet! This event is open to the public and provides exclusive access to the Garden after hours. All tickets (both Member and Non Member) include one complimentary drink ticket. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Our RBG Members can purchase an additional ticket at the member price point. Please note: Membership IDs will be checked upon arrival to verify active status.

Check-in begins at 5:30pm – Garden gates will open at 5:15pm to accommodate. Our retail Nursery will be closed for this event, but we encourage you to window shop and come back at a later date!

Friction Quartet, whose performances have been called “stunningly passionate” (Calgary Herald) and “exquisitely skilled” (ZealNYC), exists to modernize the chamber music experience and expand the string quartet repertoire. Friction achieves its mission by commissioning new works, curating imaginative programs, collaborating with artists, and presenting interactive educational outreach. Joshua Kosman (San Francisco Chronicle) declared Friction Quartet, “The Bay Area’s redoubtable new-music ensemble,” and describes their performancing as “high-octane music making…a fine blend of rhythmic ferocity and tonal flair.”
