Curator’s Garden Tour- Mesembs
Friday, January 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm$5 – $10
The ice plant family (Aizoaceae) is a large group, mostly native to South Africa. A significant number of them are winter flowering and we have been testing these in the garden for the last several years to determine their adaptability in horticulture. Brian Kemble, long-time curator, will feature some seldom grown plants in genera such as Cephalophyllum, Cheiridopsis and Aloinopsis.
This tour is strategically scheduled in the afternoon as the showy flowers do not open until it receives enough warmth from the sun.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations up to 1-week prior to a class are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 1-week prior to a class are non-refundable. The Ruth Bancroft Garden does not issue credits for future classes.
