Spend your Saturday immersed in the charm of one of nature’s most beloved succulents. Echeveria Fest will feature a variety of special offerings for plant lovers and curious minds alike including:
Curator-Led Garden Tour
11:30 pm – 12:30pm
Explore the Garden’s most cherished Echeverias with an expert-led walkthrough, highlighting the beauty, diversity, and stories behind these resilient rosettes—including reflections on Ruth’s lifelong passion for them.
The day will also include:
- 9:30 am – 2:00 pm – Exclusive Echeveria Sale – Discover unique, seed-propagated Echeverias grown by curator Brian Kemble and garden manager Walker Young in their private greenhouse – rare finds you won’t see in most nurseries.
- 9:30 am – 2:00 pm – Awesome Succulent Merch from Ms. Dumont – Inspired by a love for color and nature, Ms. Dumont artist creates vibrant botanical prints drawn from plants in her garden. Her handcrafted table linens and accessories are a succulent lovers must have!
- 10:00 am – 11:00 am – Lecture – Echeverias in Habitat with Julia Etter and Martin Kristin. In their talk they will show some of their most treasured echeverias, the adventure and fascination of finding them, and the incredible habitats they live in. Some of these species are stunning beauties, others have been lost for over a century, and a few are new to science.
