ArtScapes in the Garden Exhibit (Free for Members)

The Ruth Bancroft Garden and San Francisco’s Sogetsu School of Ikebana are proud to present this unique exhibition of large-scale works placed in the Garden that will incorporate Garden plant materials. Additionally, flower arrangements will be on display in the main building (Great Room), featuring the artistry of principal artists from the Sogetsu San Francisco Bay Area Branch.
‘ArtScapes in the Garden’ is offered with Garden admission at no additional charge from Thursday, May 18th through Sunday, May 21st during open hours.
Garden Hours: 9AM – 4PM

DEMONSTRATION
Join us for an unique experience and watch an ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) demonstration by Sahshah Kosen Middleton from the Sogetsu San Francisco Bay Area Branch. The demo will be on Saturday, May 20th, from 11-11:45am and complimentary with Garden admission. RVSP here.
The arrangements will stay on display for visitors to enjoy until May 21st, 2023.
IKEBANA FOR CHILDREN
Children, ages 5-10, are invited to a drop-in session on Sunday, May 21st from 11am-1pm to learn how to make a small ikebana arrangement. Free with Garden admission. First come, first served for 50 participants. All children must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP here.
