Discover the hidden lives of plants with Garden Curator Brian Kemble, who has been tending and studying the collection for more than 45 years. On this special tour, Brian will highlight the many ways plants provide food, fiber, and medicine across cultures and throughout history. From everyday edibles to spiky fruits that require a little know-how, you’ll learn both practical uses and fascinating stories of the Garden’s living collection. Each participant will head home with seasonal fruits from the Garden, along with tips and tricks for preparing them in your own kitchen.

Registrants will be walked thru safe preparation of fruits and also asked to sign a waiver prior to fruit pick-up acknowledging known risks involved with trying new foods and handling spiky fruits in the kitchen.
