Children's Education

Story Time at the Garden combines nature-focused children’s literature with outdoor learning, music, and sustainable crafts. Held in “the Nook,” our purpose-built outdoor amphitheater, these sessions are included in Garden admission/free to members at 9:30am on select Thursday mornings (please check our Community Calendar for dates).

The Ruth Bancroft Garden offers an engaging and educational field trip experience tailored specifically for children in elementary school. Learn more about our new field trip program here! You can also contact education@ruthbancroftgarden.org for information about scheduling a field trip for a school group or scouts.

Throughout the year we offer activities for children and families at the Garden.  Our Explore Together Program offers inter-generational learning and craft projects.
