Children’s Programs

The Garden welcomes visits from children and they love exploring the Garden! During June and July, program hours will be changing. Workshop Wednesdays will be from 9:30 – 10:15AM and Story Time will be from 9:30 – 10AM.

No drop-offs; parent/guardian must accompany children. These are outdoor events.

All Children’s Programs will end July 31st and resume in the Fall. Check our website for updates or sign up for our Children’s Newsletter for more info.



Workshop Wednesdays 9:30AM – 10:15AM | Every Wednesday in the Plaza (RSVP required)
Every Wednesday we will have a craft activity out in the Plaza. Price will vary depending on the craft.


Story Time 9:30AM – 10:00AM | Every Thursday in the Nook (RSVP required)
Each Thursday, we will host a story time reading in our new Children’s Nook in the Garden. This event is free with Garden Admission ($10 for adults, $8 for children, 12 and under are free). 


Sundays in the Nook 10AM-1PM |  Every Sunday in the Nook (No RSVP required)
Every Sunday in the Nook we will have staff in the Nook supervising crafts, reading and Garden show and tells. This is a free-form, drop-in event with no RSVP required. This is free with Garden Admission ($10 for adults, $8 for children, 12 and under are free).

The Garden is continually expanding its class offerings for children.  Our arts and crafts classes enable children to express themselves through art using nature and the Garden as the inspiration, medium or location.  Our science and nature based classes let children learn and discover the world of plants and the environment.
